The Human Impact of Covid: Beyond the statistics
Over the past few months Deloitte has been talking to a variety of people across the UK about the impact of Covid-19 on their lives and on their finances. We’ve spoken to the Financial Directors of corporates, small business owners, furloughed workers, those made redundant from the crisis, new graduates, the over 65’s and key workers. This qualitative research focusses on the human stories of Covid-19. We are inundated with statistics and numbers on Covid-19 daily, but sometimes these numbers can drown the meaning behind them. Understanding the human stories offers insight and understanding on the impact of Covid on UK society and on the economy. Experiences and behaviours now will influence how society and the economy recover post-Covid.
