Connecting people by combining payments and digital expertise.
For high-street retailers we assist in their digital retail experience. We do this by providing multi-device, multi-channel shopping through eCommerce and digital signage offerings that increase sales & revenue, both online and in-store.
Within the rail industry we simplify planning and on the day operations to maximise efficiency. We also work with train operating companies supporting their B2C and B2B retail operations online, at the station and on-board.
Worldline is the European leader and a global player in the payments and transactional services industry. Our activities are organised into three business lines:
• Merchant Services & Terminals
• Mobility & e-Transactional Services
• Financial Processing & Software Licensing

Mobility as a Service: How do we develop the future of transport
Following an award of £24m from the Government's Future Transport Zone, the West of England Combined Authority is working hard to introduce innovative transport technologies with the aim of integrating public transport into local communities. Initiatives planned include a Future Transport Living Lab, focused on overcoming the challenges of smart mobility and working with local communities, stakeholders and innovators.
Central to this ambition are the intelligent use of data and communications, developing a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform and introducing new services, including dynamic demand-responsive travel. The benefits for the region could be huge, in terms of economic growth, improved quality of life and enhanced sustainability.
What are the key factors to success in meeting the challenges of future mobility? Are those challenges technological, political, commercial... or societal? Given its benefits, why is MaaS not more widely embedded in the UK and further afield? Join us for a discussion of the issues, drawing on examples from around the world.
